Amec Foster Wheeler awarded FEED contract by KOC

Kuwait Oil company feed amec foster AFWAmec Foster Wheeler has been awarded a FEED contract by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to upgrade its Oil Gathering Centre GC-24. This new project will increase the capacity of the existing facility by 30%, adding 50,000 barrels of oil per day to the current output of 165,000 barrels of oil per day. In addition, the project will optimize existing facilities to cater for the expected high level of water in the mix of crude oil and gas. As KOC plans to increase oil production by up to 1mn barrels of oil per day (bopd) by 2020 and maintain this for 10 years, this project remains critical.
