ADNOC signs USD 850mn worth of concession agreements with Inpex

ADNOC signs USD 850mnADNOC has awarded Japanese oil company, Inpex, stakes in an offshore concession and has extended existing partnerships in two others in agreements worth a combined total of USD 850mn. While Inpex has been awarded a 10% stake in the offshore Lower Zakum concession by ADNOC for USD 600mn for a term of 40years, it has also extended its concession agreements on the Satah and Umm Al Dalkh fields for 25 years for a fee of USD 250mn.


Aramco considers investing in Indian refineries and expansion projects

Aramco considers investing in IndiaSaudi Aramco is looking to buy a stake in existing Indian refineries & expansion projects, as well as a planned giant refinery on India’s west coast stated Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister, Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Falih. Al Falih also mentioned that Aramco has already signed an agreement to initiate talks for acquiring a stake in the proposed c.USD 28bn refinery in Maharashtra. The agreement allows the commencement of discussions on the configuration of the refinery - on design basis and pre-feasibility studies. Al Falih further stated that Aramco is also looking at other opportunities to invest into existing refineries as well as upgrades of existing refineries in India.


Oman receives SoQ's from 28 bidders for Solar IPP in Ibri

Oman receives SoQ'sIn line with Oman’s vision to diversify fuel sources via the use of clean energy for power generation, OPWP announced its plans for the development of Oman's first large utility scale solar PV independent power project in December 2017. While the RFQ for the development of this Ibri II Solar IPP was issued at the end of December 2017, Statement of Qualifications (SoQ) were received from 28 applicants this month. The total capacity of the proposed solar IPP will be 500MW and is expected to be based on a combination of photovoltaic and concentrated solar power technologies.
